The Vinyl Factory: Reverb - An exhibition celebrating art & sound
Reverb Exhibition @ 180 The Strand, London
Reverb is a multimedia exhibition by The Vinyl Factory that celebrates the merging of art & sound.
It brings together over 100 artists and musicians – working across art, music, film & live performance.
The exhibition features the Hi-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1, created by and programmed with New York artist Devon Turnbull. It's a meditative space to listen to vinyl of unheard music, including exclusive test pressings and studio outtakes.
Jeremy Deller is showing his excellent documentary - Everybody in the Place: An Incomplete History of Britain 1984-1992. Read more about it here
It also features audio-visual installations and sonic experiences from artists including Theaster Gates, Es Devlin, Julianknxx, Kahlil Joseph, Caterina Barbieri, Stan Douglas, Virgil Abloh, Cecilia Bengolea, Jeremy Deller, William Kentridge, Jenn Nkiru, Hito Steyerl, Carsten Nicolai and Gabriel Moses.
We are equally excited to see the room created by Ben Kelly, the designer of the iconic Hacienda. Titled 100 Records - the room will house 100 vinyl records released and pressed by The Vinyl Factory Plant between 2009-2024.
These include releases by Marina Abramovic, Arthur Jafa, Nan Goldin, Grace Jones, Pipilotti Rist, William Kentridge, Mica Levi, Yussef Dayes, Es Devlin, Fred Again, Thom Yorke, Roxy Music, Shabaka Hutchings, Massive Attack, Pet Shop Boys, Daft Punk, The xx, Rachel Rose, Kojey Radical and many more.
